Matthias Hollwich

Matthias Hollwich is co-founder of etekt and has worked as an architect in several internationally recognized architecture and urban design firms, including: OMA in Rotterdam, Netherlands; Eisenman Architects in New York; and Diller+Scofidio in New York City. Most recently, he was involved in the developmental planning process for a cultural district in Brooklyn and the Campus Center at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. From 1999-2001, Matthias has held an assistant professorship at the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Switzerland. Beside his involvement in etekt, Matthias has started XPEKT, a concept development and architectural design firm. Projects includes viaGuggenheim, LaunchGallery and an International School project for Beijing. Matthias received his Dipl. Ing. and Architectural Engineering degree from the Fachhochschule, Munich, Germany.
