Shamiyeh Chairs Economic Symposium

The revival of US manufacturing has received extensive attention. Hal Sirkin and his colleagues from the Boston Consulting Group popularised this idea in their seminal book ‘The US Manufacturing Renaissance.’ They argue that while China is losing its cost advantage, low energy prices have recently made the USA attractive for manufacturing. In a discussion with CEOs of leading Austrian companies, Hal Sirkin will address the question of how changing global economics are affecting Europe’s industrial sector.
